Heartwarming Moment Little Boy With Down Syndrome Comforts Classmate With Autism

Recently people’s hearts were melted by the adorable video of a little boy with Down’s syndrome comforting his autistic friend. The video was captured and shared on social media by a teacher at an elementary school in Jalisco, Western Mexico.

The video went viral across many social media platforms and was viewed more than 19 million times at the time of writing.

In the video, the boy with Down’s syndrome can be seen coming up to his crying classmate and wiping away his tears. He then continues to soothe his friend with a huge hug while stroking his hair.

By the end of the video, the boy with autism seems to still be a little upset, but much calmer at his friend’s presence. These two boys are definitely best friends!

The clip was so touching that people just couldn’t stop sharing and commenting under it. Many people even shared their own experiences of the kindness of children with Down’s syndrome.

One person tweeted: My nephew has ‘Down’ syndrome. I put that in quotation marks because there is nothing downs about it. I’ve never seen anybody w/ the ability to empathize like he does. These kids truly have the most biggest hearts. They are so pure.”

Another said: “You’ve never been hugged until you’ve been hugged by a person with Down’s syndrome, they are hugging experts. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL people that we can all learn from.”

“My son has autism and has been in classroom like this for all his life. I always feel when I go to class with him that it is a room of angels. They are so kind-hearted and tender. It’s the same in the school bus. The other students can’t wait to wave hello to me,” a user called Jhoanna Fernandez commented.

Another user wrote: “I’m raising a child with Autism. She has the purest heart and loves to pray for people. If she sees you are sad, even strangers, she immediately wants to hold you and pray. She’s eleven now and I pray she keeps that spirit of empathy and prayer. Love this story.”
